The design of Caged Chaos explores the relationship between containment and freedom, with the glass flowing and solidifying in an unpredictable way, while the wire structure tries to shape and restrict it. This dialog between the materials creates a visual and tactile impact, with obvious contrasts between smooth and textured, ordered and chaotic surfaces. The two wire meshes used, each with a different weave, add a layer of depth to the piece, while at the same time orienting the glass and allowing it to go beyond its limits, expanding organically through its recesses.
The red and blue colors, which mix almost accidentally, intensify the tension between the control imposed by the structure and the fluid, chaotic nature of the glass. This play of colors and materials reinforces the uniqueness of Caged Chaos, resulting in a piece that provokes reflection on form and expression.
