In the second phase of developing the application proposals for the master's thesis, a second centerpiece was produced from an existing design. The aim was to experiment with more elaborate and complex shapes using the material developed, in order to assess both the limits and opportunities of the material developed and to see if it was feasible to design more sinuous pieces. The analysis not only refers to the material as a material, but also to the visual characteristics it provides.
This phase involved the development of two molds, with different materials and costs, as well as extensive research into the most suitable means of making the final piece.
Despite sharing the same formal base, each piece has distinct visual and tactile characteristics, which are the result of both the response of the materials and the way they are made. Variations in texture and finish give each piece a distinct experience.
