The Tracks collection is made up of three unique pieces, developed from blown glass and construction waste found in the immediate surroundings of CENCAL, in Marinha Grande. Each piece explores the “traces” left by the history of each place, reinterpreting the idea of “ track” as an absent presence, where residual fragments reveal memories and tracks of time.
Through the fusion of glass and waste materials, the collection seeks to rescue and enhance the hidden history that permeates these elements. The pieces not only reflect the identity of the space in which they were created, but also establish a dialog between the different materialities, contrasting the transparency and lightness of glass with the rusticity and density of waste. This interaction offers a new perspective on what can be considered valuable, challenging the perception of what is waste and proposing a reflection on the relationship between the new and the obsolete.
